These terms and conditions outline the rules and regulations for the use of House Of Baking's Website and Services, located at https://houseofbaking.com and https://houseofbaking.com.au.

By accessing this website, we assume you accept these terms and conditions. Do not continue to use House Of Baking if you do not agree to take all of the terms and conditions stated on this page.

1. Booking & Deposits

• A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking. Quotes are valid for 7 days.

• Orders are not confirmed until the deposit is received.

• Full payment is due 5 days prior to collection/delivery. Wedding cakes must be paid in full 1 month prior.

• Late or missing payments may result in cancellation, substitutions, or additional charges. A $15 late fee may apply after 48 hours.

• No orders will be released without full payment.

2. Cancellations & Rescheduling

• All requests must be submitted in writing.

• Cancellations made more than 7 days before the event may qualify for a credit (valid for 12 months). Deposits remain non-refundable.

• Cancellations within 7 days of the event will not receive a refund or credit.

• Wedding cake cancellations within one calendar month of the event forfeit all payments made.

• In rare circumstances (e.g. illness, emergencies), House Of Baking reserves the right to cancel an order. A full refund will be issued in such cases.

• No refunds are issued for change-of-mind or personal taste preferences.

3. Design Process & Creative License

• We love to bring your cake dreams to life! However, design changes may be necessary for structural or artistic reasons, without drastically altering the final look.

• Orders involving copyrighted characters (e.g. Peter Rabbit, Disney) cannot be directly replicated. Official licensed toppers or figurines are welcome.

• Design changes must be finalised at least 2 weeks prior to your event. Changes after this time may not be possible and may incur additional charges.

• Final design details (including flavours and decorations) must be confirmed at least 14 days before your event to ensure timely sourcing of materials.

4. Order Collection & Delivery

• Collection is by appointment only. Please arrive on time or notify us of delays.

• Revised pickup times are subject to availability.

• If uncollected and no contact is made, the cake may be resold, donated, or raffled off without refund.

• Delivery is available upon request. Additional fees apply outside our local delivery zone (radius defined at booking).

• If House Of Baking delivers your cake, responsibility transfers upon handover to the client or their representative.

5. Transport & Storage

• Transport cakes on a flat, non-slip surface (e.g. car floor) in a cool, air-conditioned vehicle.

• Store your cake in a cool room. Use air-conditioning or fans in warm weather.

• Buttercream cakes must be refrigerated; fondant cakes should be kept at room temperature unless advised otherwise.

• House Of Baking is not liable for damage once the cake leaves our premises, unless during delivery by us.

6. Final Touches & Equipment Hire

• We are not responsible for third-party decorations (e.g. flowers, toppers).

• Decorations provided by us are food-safe and prepared with care.

• Equipment hire requires a refundable deposit. All items must be returned in clean condition within 3 days, or replacement costs will be charged.

• If venue styling or cake setup is required, access details and setup times must be confirmed in advance.

7. Allergy & Dietary Disclaimer

• Our kitchen handles nuts, gluten, dairy, eggs, soy, and other allergens.

• While we take all reasonable care to reduce cross-contamination, we cannot guarantee allergen-free products.

• It is the client’s responsibility to inform guests of potential allergens. House Of Baking accepts no liability for allergic reactions.

8. Complaints & Refund Policy

• All sales are final.

• If you're dissatisfied with your product, contact us within 24 hours of collection/delivery.

• At least 75% of the original product must be returned for evaluation.

• If appropriate, a discount may be offered for a future order. Refunds or exchanges are at our sole discretion.

9. Photos, Promotions & Privacy

• We may photograph your cake for marketing purposes unless you advise us otherwise in writing.

• If your order includes children’s cakes with names or identifiable details, we may seek parental consent before sharing publicly.

• We will never disclose personal contact information or booking details in marketing content.

11. Force Majeure

• House Of Baking is not liable for delays or cancellations due to events beyond our control (e.g. extreme weather, pandemics, power outages, transportation disruptions). In such cases, we will work with you to reschedule or offer credit where appropriate.

12. Agreement
